Bible Hour Starts Sunday!!!
Next Sunday morning 9/1 we begin Bible Hour AND a new check in system for the children. Parents will check in their children, infants through 3rd grade at the check in counter. Parents will be given a card at drop off, and must present that card when they return to pick up their child. IF, your child wants to attend Bible Hour they will remain in their Bible Class and parents will pick them up after worship service. The reason for the changes are to ensure safety, help the transition to flow smoothly from Bible class to Bible Hour and most importantly, we will incorporate the Lord's Supper for the helpers during Bible Hour so the children can witness that, before they missed out on that time. We are asking for patience as we get this new procedure rolling smoothly. Parents are welcome to pick up their child at any time but we do ask if your child is going to attend Bible Hour to please leave them in class, or check them in BEFORE Bible Hour begins. Please pray for Bible Hour to be a success and that we glorify Him! Thank you.

Back to School Lock-in…
That’s right, we are already talking about school again!! We are having a back to school lock-in with teens from Bridgewood, Ennis, Meadow View and Mesquite.  We will begin the evening at 9:00 pm at the Mesquite church of Christ and then at 12:00 am we will lock-in at Celebration Station in Mesquite.  We should be back here to the building at 7:00 am for pick-up.

The cost is $35 per person.  You can, and are encouraged to invite your friends!  Deadline to sign up is Sunday, August 11th.

Moore, Oklahoma Mission Trip...
If you signed up to go to Moore, OK, you should have received two emails.  One should fill you in on the registration information.  The other is full important information about the Disaster Response Team, where we will be staying, what you will need while we are there, etc…  PLEASE read through that if you gave not already.

We plan to meet at the church building at 8:00 am.  We will load the bus and be on our way to Oklahoma City.  We will eat lunch together, and then go on a special activity before heading to Moore.  Lunch and Special activity will be paid for.

In your “extra” money that you decide to bring, please include enough for one meal just in case.  There is the possibility we will eat out once while there.

I am currently out of town, but if you have any questions PLEASE, do not hesitate to email me, message me on face book or send me a text message.  I look forward to spending this time with everyone!!

Moore, Oklahoma Mission Trip...
If you are wanting to go to Moore to serve that community by helping clean-up, please let me know via 2471 Facebook page or email. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, July 24th.  It is a requirement so I can register you with the Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team.  That will give them an accurate count for food and housing while we are there.  So if you do not sign up, you can not go.

Because of the nature of the work there, if you are in 6th or 7th grade, I will need a parent or guardian to accompany you.

We have had several parents express interest in going as well.  I am happy to take any adults that would like to go.  Once again, it is important that you sign up as well.

We will leave Saturday, July 27th and will return to Waxahachie Wednesday, July 31st.

Have a Great Week!!
