Weekly Update: 06/26/2013

Six Flags Information…

Friday, We will meet at the building at 8:45 am, load up and head to Six Flags for the day.  If you have not paid for your tickets yet, please do so on Friday.  Cost is $32 per person.  Checks can be made out to the church here.  Eat breakfast before you leave, but bring money for lunch and supper in the park. 

Mission Trip 2013…

Destination:  Groesbeck, Texas

Sunday, June 30th, plan to be at the building at 2:00 pm.  We will load up, and get on the road to Groesbeck.  We will return to Waxahachie on July 3rd around 5:30 pm.  We will be back in time to participate in the Red, White and Blue celebration.

Make sure you pack clothes you don’t mind getting dirty in.  You will also need clothes to work Vacation Bible School in.  You will need to bring air mattresses and sleeping bags just in case we all don’t have beds to sleep in. 

Summer Youth Series…

Tuesday, July 2nd the SYS continues at the Lewisville church of Christ.  The bus will be leaving the parking lot at 5:40 pm.  If you plan to go, be here before that time.  We will plan to be back in Waxahachie around 9:30 pm.  If you are not on our mission trip, plan to go and invite your friends!!\

Red, White & Blue Celebration…

We want to encourage everyone to come out July 3rd and enjoy food, fun, fellowship and fireworks! I hope you have been thinking about the flavor of HOMEADE ice cream you will be bringing!!

Texas Rangers Baseball…

If you signed up to go to the Rangers game on July 5th and have not paid for your tickets, please do so ASAP.  Cost is $20 per ticket.  The Bus will be going to game.  If you want to ride, please be at the building at 5:15 pm.

There are several events that you need to sign up for if you plan on going.  Sign-up sheets are out for Six Flags, Texas Rangers and Mission Trip 2.0.

Teen Prayer Meeting…

Sunday night, June 23rd, we will meet in the high school classroom for a time of prayer.  Bring money for food following!

Summer Youth Series…

Tuesday, June 25th the SYS continues at the Grandview church of Christ.  The bus will be leaving the parking lot at 6:15 pm.  If you plan to go, be here before that time.  We will plan to be back in Waxahachie around 9:15 pm.  Invite your friends!!

 

MPR Night…

Thursday night, June 27th, the multi-purpose room will be open for 6-12 grade at 6:00 pm. Bring your food up and enjoy a fun time together.  Make sure to invite your friends!

Weekly Update: 06/12/2013

INNER CIRCLE CHRISTIAN YOUTH CAMP -- June 16th thru June 21st

It’s that time!! Camp is here!!  We have 51 kids from Brown Street signed up to go.  We will be meeting here at the building at 8:00 am, Sunday morning, June 16th.  We will load our luggage up, and then meet in the multi-purpose room for our worship time together.  We should be on the road by 9:00 am.  We will be stopping for lunch on the way to camp.  You will need money for your meal.  Also, have money available for lunch on the way home after camp  just in case we stop on the way back.  We should  be returning to Waxahachie around 5:30 pm on the 21st.

Tuesday, June 18th the SYS continues at the New York Avenue church of Christ (5371 New York Ave)  in Arlington.  Due to camp going on next week, there will not be a church vehicle going to this event.  SYS begins at 7:00 pm.

Weekly Update: 06/05/2013

 Rodeo Round-up…

For those who are riding the bus, please plan to be here at 6:00 pm.  For tickets, go to the ticket booth, tell them what group you are with (church of Christ) and your name.  And they will give you your tickets.  Then sit back and enjoy the rodeo!

 

Encounter…

For those who are going to encounter, we will meet at the building Saturday morning, June 8th at 10:00 am and leave shortly after.  You will need money for Saturdays lunch and supper, and Sundays breakfast and lunch.
