Calling All 8th Graders...

Tonight,  following evening services the Elders would like to begin their annual meal with you.  Please plan to attend.  If you have any questions, please contact any of the elders or their wives!!

Congratulations…

I would like to take this opportunity and congratulate Emilie Bentley, Tori Bingham, Kelsey Peyrot, Chase Pope and Taylor Smith on being named finalists for the 2012 Moral Courage Scholarships.  The ceremony will be held on Monday, April 30 at the W.H.S. Fine Arts Center and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

 

Inner Circle Camp Registration

This camp is for kids going into 4th grade through 2012 high school graduates.  The dates for camp this year are earlier than in years past.  Please make note that camp is from June 17-22.  You can pick up the registration forms on the Youth & Family board outside of the 5th-6th grade classroom.  The cost for camp is $150.  The forms are due back to me NO LATER THAN  SUNDAY, MAY 13th.  If you have any questions or concerns, please talk to Rick.

SYS T-Shirt Order Forms

Summer Youth Series is right around the corner!  The theme this year is “Truth Be Told” and the color of the shirt is dark blue.  You can pick up your T-shirt order form on the Youth & Family board outside the 5th-6th grade classroom.  The forms and your money need to be turned into me NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, MAY 13th.  This will be the only chance to get SYS shirts.  Cost is $7 for the shirts, 2X and 3X shirts are $9.

Saturday, May 5th - Family Fishing Trip

If you are planning on going make sure you talk with John or Holly Reagan.  It is $25 per family and you will need to bring your own gear.  You can sign up through Wednesday, May 2nd.  There is a sign up sheet on the Youth & Family board.

Following services we will meet in the High School Classroom for a time of prayer together. Following that time, we will be going to Braum’s for a meal together. You will need money for your meal.

Attention 1st-6th graders!! Tonight following services there will be a devotional at the home of Mitch and Robyn Jones. Everyone attending needs to bring chips and 2 liters, or a dessert. If you have questions, talk to Mitch or Robyn!!

LTC Awards Dinner...Sunday night

Following services we will be having brisket sandwiches and need each family to provide the following sides according to your participant’s grade level. We also need help from those attending who do not have participants to bring a dish.

• 3rd - 6th grade: 2 cans of Baked Beans cooked
  


• 7th - 8th grade: 1 container of Potato Salad
  


• 9th - 10th grade: 3 packages of hamburger buns (8 count)
  


• 11th - 12th grade: Dessert
  


• Anyone coming that did not have a participant: Dessert

*If you have children in more than one age group, please bring the item from each group.

Friday & Saturday, April 6-7
It is that time! We have been preparing for several months now. I hope you are as excited as I am!!

If you have events on Friday, please make plans to give yourself enough time to get settled. Check-in time is at 3:00 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott.

Friday night, everyone will be on their own for meals, Saturday morning and Saturday lunch will be taken care of.

11-12 puppets, meet in the hospitality room in the Courtyard by Marriott no later than 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, April 8th - 2471 Devotional
We will be having a devotional at the home of Roben & Carol Hanes on Sunday evening, April 8th, following services. Invite your friends for a time of food, fun and fellowship. We will close out our time together with singing and a short devotional thought.

Sunday, April 15th - LTC Awards Banquet
Our kids will be receiving there awards after services on this date. More details to come!

The petting zoo and face painting will begin at 5:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. The egg hunt will follow dinner. Hope to see everyone here!
