Brown Street Youth and Family Ministry

Weekly Update 12/15 - 12/22

2471 Christmas Caroling…

Tonight, December 15th, our church family will be going out and singing Christmas carols after services.  We could use all your beautiful voices.  Encourage your parents to come as well!  We will be meeting in the fellowship room immediately following services to get our sheet music and receive instruction about the evening.  We will then load up on the bus and head out.  We plan to be out around an hour and a half before returning to the building.  Please make plans to attend, and as always, invite your friends!!  If you have any questions, you can ask Paul O’Rear.

 Leadership Training for Christ…

Make sure you check the bulletin board for the sign up sheets!  Girls, don’t forget to sign up for the Ladies Scripture reading, song leading etc...

Attention Young Men…

Mark your calendars now for January 26th!!
That is the Sunday evening you will have the opportunity to lead our worship service.  We will need song leaders, scripture readers and speech givers.  I will be talking with you more about it in the coming weeks.  The format will be similar to that of our pre-LTC worship.

KIDS KARE CLUB:
Please bring new or gently used coats, hats,  gloves and scarves for children.  Let’s stock up the Care Center with warm gear for the children in need this winter season.

Ho, Ho, Ho:
This Saturday, December 14th from 9-11 is our Breakfast with Santa!  Come and enjoy breakfast, crafts, story time with Ms. Claus and get your picture taken with Santa!  Don’t forget to bring an unwrapped toy for a child.

Get Involved!!
We are still in need of help with Bible Hour.  If you love children and have the desire to encourage their love for Jesus, please think about being a part of Bible Hour for just 1 month.  There is no preparation or teaching needed. Everything is provided, we just need YOU to love, encourage and keep the children focused.  Please let DeAnn Greenlee know if you would like to help.
