July 29th - August 2nd - Mission Trip 2012
We will be leaving the church building on that Sunday afternoon and be in Stephenville in time for evening services. We should be returning to Waxahachie on that Thursday evening. Look to the left column for more details!!
Tuesday, July 31st - SYS @ Lewisville
This Summer Youth Series will be at the Lewisville Church of Christ. The bus will be leaving at 5:30 (taking traffic into consideration), and will be returning to the church parking lot at 9:45. If you have any questions, please see Kevin Cooke since Rick is out of town.
Mission Trip 2012…
Next Sunday we will be leaving to go to the Foster’s home for children. If you are signed up to go, you will need to bring blow up mattresses, pillows, sheets, sleeping bags, towels, gloves, bug spray, sun screen. Also, bring clothes that you do not mind getting really dirty. We will have opportunities in the late afternoon to shower and get cleaned up before the evening activities.
We will be doing a wide variety of projects while we are there. We will be working on their ranch property (cleaning, mowing, etc.). We will also be working on campus cleaning their gym, getting it ready for their children’s day as well as cleaning up around the Foster’s home grounds. The “big” project for the week will be putting in a large sand box area for their young children.
We need to meet at the building at 2:15 Sunday afternoon. We will be leaving no later than 2:30. I look forward to being with everyone next week!!
