Moore, Oklahoma Mission Trip...
If you are wanting to go to Moore to serve that community by helping clean-up, please sign up on the youth & family board. It is a requirement so I can register you with the Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team. That will give them an accurate count for food and housing while we are there. So if you do not sign up, you can not go.
Because of the nature of the work there, if you are in 6th or 7th grade, I will need a parent or guardian to accompany you. 8-12 graders will not need a parent. All participants are encouraged to wear work boots and gloves. If you do not have those items, please make arrangements to have them.
We have had several parents express interest in going as well. I am happy to take any adults that would like to go. Once again, it is important that you sign up as well.
We will leave Saturday, July 27th and will return to Waxahachie Wednesday, July 31st.
SYS @ Brown Street…
Tuesday, July 16th, Brown Street will be hosting the Summer Youth Series. Our topic for the evening will be I AM the Resurrection and Life. Paul O’Rear will be our speaker. If you would like to help out with food, please see Wendy Meyers.
I would like to personally invite EVERYONE from Brown Street to attend. This is a Summer Youth Series, but I believe everyone will benefit from the evening, from the singing to message. If you are free Tuesday night, please plan to be here at 7:00 pm. We will conclude at 8:00 and a meal will follow.
MPR Hosts Needed…
I am in need of a host for 2 Multi-Purpose Room nights here at the building. If you are able to host on either July 18th or July 25th, let Rick know. If you have questions about what all is involved in hosting, I will be more than happy to share that as well!!
Schedule Change...
The outing to Bedford Rd church has been postponed. It has been re-scheduled to August 11th. Please make note of this change.
