Sunday, September 2nd - Movie/Game Night

We will be gathering at the home of Rick & Kara Williams following evening services for movies and games. You will need to bring your favorite games and the movie(s) will be provided.  Run by the drive-through on your way to our home! You will also need to provide your own transportation to and from the Williams’ home. Pick-up time is no later than 11:00 p.m. at our home!  Hope to see everyone there!!

Saturday, September 8th - Youth Devo

The devotional will be hosted by Wyman & Carol Stewart.  We will be going to the home of John & Janice Bailey.  The only thing you will need to bring is your appetite.  Make note that this is on a Saturday night.  We will meet at the building at 5:30 p.m.  Pick-up time will be 8:00 p.m. here at the building.

Saturday, September 15th - Singing in Groesbeck

If you are not busy, come join us and sing our hearts out.  Details on the left.

LTC Sign-ups…

Beginning in September, there will be sign-up sheets out on the Youth & Family bulletin board.  You will be able to sign up through the month of September.  This will help our coaches in their preparation for LTC in April 2013.  Be thinking about what you would like to participate in for LTC.  We had a great time last year and I look forward to another successful time this year!

Attention All Brown Street Members…

Saturday, September 15th is Groesbeck church of Christ’s 2nd annual singing.  It will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude at 8:30 p.m.  There will be a break in the middle where light refreshments will be served.  We will be leaving the parking lot here at the building at 4:45 and will plan to return around 10:00 p.m.  I hope you plan to come out for some great congregational singing on September 15th!!

Sunday, August 26th - Teen Prayer Meeting

Sunday evening after services, we will be meeting in the High School Classroom for a time of prayer together.  Following that time, we will be going to Whataburger for supper.  Please bring money for supper.

All are invited out to help keep our city beautiful.  Saturday, August 25th there will be a clean up for our section of adopted highway (287/I35E interchange).  We will be meeting at the church building at 8:30 a.m. We will go as a group out and spend a couple of hours picking up trash in the cloverleaf area.  If you have any questions, you can contact Rick Williams or Ronnie Rushing.  Thanks for your help!!

Thursday, August 16th - Final MPR

Yep, summer is coming to an end.  Thursday night will conclude our MPR’s for the summer.  Kara Williams will be hosting this event.  Bring your meal and plan to be here at 6:30.  The night will conclude at 8:00 p.m.  The game for the evening will be “flying enchilada’s”!  If you are curious, come prepared to have fun!!

Sunday, August 19th - Youth Rally: Italy

Sunday evening the youth will be heading south to Italy for there Back To School Youth Rally.  If you are in 6th-12th grade, plan to attend this event.  The bus will leave at 5:10 p.m. And the planned pick up time will be no later than 9:15 p.m.  If you have any questions about transportation, please see Kevin Cooke.

KFC Korner…

Attention ALL 1st-5th graders and parents!!  Saturday, August 18th will be Open Gym Night at Trevino’s Gymnastic School (1438  S. I35 Lancaster) from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per child.  Pizza will be provided, we ask that each family bring a drinks or a dessert.  If you have any questions, please see Thomas or Sarah Breedlove.
